Wong's Game is a 2 players abstract board game about stone placement and area influence invented by Gary Wong in 1999.

The game is played on an initial empty square board. Additionally each player should have a enough stones of their own color. Alternatively the author suggest that the game can be played with just paper and pencil.

The game is divided in a placement phase and a growing phase:

Placement Phase - Each player, in turns, drops N-1 stones into empty cells (with a NxN board).

Growing Phase - Each player continues to drop stones into empty cells, but now, each stone must have two or more adjacent friendly stones (by "adjacent" it should be understood "orthogonal or diagonal adjacent").

When both players are unable to move the one who has more stones in the board will be the winner.
