This was issued as a box game set in 1997; the underside of the box described the contents as follows:
"Realm of Chaos is the definitive guide to Chaos armies in the Warhammer world.
Inside you'll find rules for a whole host of Chaos creatures, from loathsome Minotaurs and Beastmen, to fierce barbarian Marauders. These rules also include mighty Chaos Warriors, Champions and Sorcerers plus the horrific Daemons of Chaos.
Realm of Chaos contains not one, but three complete army lists that enbale you to ravage the Warhammer world with brutal armies of Chaos Warriors, Warbands of mutated Beastmen or evil Daemonic Hosts."
Box Contents:
- 128 Page Chaos Rulebook
- 30 Chaos Spell Cards
- 16 Card Game Counters
- 1 Summoning Template
- 5 Magic Standard Cards
- 20 Chaos Reward Cards
- 12 Chaos Gift Cards
Realm of Chaos was not a complete game; possession of Warhammer and Warhammer Magic was necessary to use the contents of the box set.
Not to be confused with Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness or Realm of Chaos: The Lost and the Damned, which came out in 1988 and 1990 respectively.
