Invented by an ex-Durham shipyard worker, King combines elements of tic, tac, toe with the 'Kings Move' from Chess.
The objective of the game is to move your 3 pieces one by one around a 3x3 grid until you win by getting all 3 in a row.
Initial placement: Take turns placing pieces on the board until all 6 are out, the first piece cannot be placed in the center.
Movement: Take turns moving one piece one square in any direction (except diagonally black-to-black). No taking/jumping allowed.
